알란 맨킨(Alan Menken)이 작곡하고 하워드 애쉬먼(Howard Ashman)이 작사한 주제곡 <Beauty and the Beast>는
피보 브라이슨(Peabo Bryson)과 셀린 디온(Celine Dion)이 같이 불렀고,

피보 브라이슨은 <알라딘>의 <A Whole New World>에 참여하기도 했습니다.

 

 

이 주제곡은 개인적으로 <알라딘>의 <A Whole New World>와 더불어 디즈니 애니 중 가장 아름다운 곡이 아닌가 하는.. ^^

 

 

 

 

OST 중 <Beauty and the Beast>, <Belle>, <Be Our Guest> 등 3곡이나 아카데미 주제가상 후보에 오르기도 했고,

그 중에서 <Beauty and the Beast>가 아카데미 주제가상을 수상합니다.

뿐만 아니라 그래미 최우수 영화/TV 주제가상과 골든글러브 주제가상을 수상하기도 합니다.
