좋은 아침

I wonder, by my troth, what thou and I

나는 정말 모르겠습니다. 나와 그대가 무엇을 했는지.

Did, till we loved? Were we not weaned till then?

이때까지 젖을 떼지 못했던가요?

But sucked on country pleasures, childishly?

시골의 쾌락을 빨고 있었나요, 어린아이처럼?

Or snorted we in the Seven Sleepers’ den?

혹은 일곱 귀공자의 동굴에서 코를 골고 있었나요?

’Twas so; but this, all pleasures fancies be.

정말 그랬습니다; 이 모든 쾌락은 환상입니다

If ever any beauty I did see,

내가 어떤 미인을 보았고

Which I desired, and got, ’twas but a dream of thee.

탐을 내어 가졌더라도, 이는 오직 그대의 환영에 불과했습니다

And now good-morrow to our waking souls,

이제 깨어난 우리의 영혼들에게 아침 인사를 합시다

Which watch not one another out of fear;

두려움으로 서로를 보지 않는

For love all love of other sights controls

진정한 사랑은 다른 온갖 것들에 대한 애욕을 압도하고 

And makes one little room an everywhere.

작은방 하나를 온 우주로 만들기 때문입니다.

Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone,

바다의 탐험가들은 새로운 세계를 찾아 나선대로 두고

Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown,

지도는 다른 이들에게 세상을 보여주도록 두고 

Let us possess one world, each hath one, and is one.

우리는 하나의 세계를 가집시다, 각각이 하나를 가져서, 전체가 하나가 되도록.

My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,

나의 얼굴은 그대의 눈에, 그대는 나의 눈에 나타나며,

And true plain hearts do in the faces rest;

진실하고 꾸밈없는 마음이 얼굴에 깃드나니

Where can we find two better hemispheres,

어디서 더 좋은 반구를 찾겠습니까

Without sharp north, without declining west?

삭풍이 불어오는 북쪽이 없는, 해지는 서쪽이 없는.

Whatever dies, was not mixed equally;

사멸하는 모든 것들은 고루 섞이지 않은 탓입니다

If our two loves be one, or, thou and I

만일 우리의 사랑이 하니이고, 그대와 내가

Love so alike, that none do slacken, none can die.

똑같이 사랑하고, 누구도 느슨하지 않다면 아무도 죽을 순 없습니다.

새 아침

And now good morrow to our waking souls,

사랑에 눈뜨는 우리 영혼에 새 아침이 밝았습니다.

Which not one another out of fear;

우린 이제 두려움으로 서로를 바라보지 않습니다.

For love of other sights controls,

사랑은 다른 곳에 한눈 파는 걸 싫어 하고

And makees one little room an  everywhere.

아주 작은 방이라도 하나의 우주로 만드니까요.

해양탐험가들은 마음껏  신세계로 가라고 해요.

Let maps to other, worlds have shown,

다른 이들은 지도로 딴 딴 세상 가보라고 하고요.
